WATCH: New Video Highlights Ireland’s Ancient East

Marketing body Tourism Ireland has created a new online film to highlight Ireland’s Ancient East.

Titled “Top Experiences in Ireland’s Ancient East”, the video was created to remind people everywhere that Ireland’s Ancient East is a great choice for a holiday or short break. It focuses on the vast amount of monastic marvels and medieval cities, and the myths and legends which derive from them, that are open to the public.

Towns and venues highlighted in the film – along with details of their historic significance – include Cobh, Dunbrody Famine Ship, Glendalough, Hook Head Lighthouse, Kilkenny, Newgrange, Powerscourt Estate, Rock of Cashel and the Waterford Viking Triangle.

The video is being promoted through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook (more than 4.339 million fans worldwide), Twitter (507,000 followers) and YouTube.
