New Event to Remember Dublin’s Theatre Royal
St Catherine’s Church will celebrate former Dublin venue, the Theatre Royal, with a night of music and remembrance.
Located on Meath Street, Dublin 8, the building will host a live band who will play tribute to the American greats such as Danny Kaye and Judy Garland who once graced the stage of the Theatre Royal. The event takes place November 23.
As well as music, there will be photographs and archival footage to help take those in attendance back to the days of the Theatre Royal, which closed its doors in 1962 and was subsequently demolished.
Doors open at 7pm, with the event starting 7.30pm sharp. Entry is €5. Organisers say tickets are selling out fast.
They are available from Foley’s Chemist and Noel’s Deli on Meath Street.
