Subtitle – the film festival specialising in foreign language cinema – returns November 19 – 25 with a focus on European movies in Co. Kilkenny.
The festival will screen 22 films, 14 of which are Irish premieres. Highlights include social drama At War, legendary director Agnes Varda’s new documentary Faces, Places, Cannes winner Girl and critically acclaimed Italian crime thriller Dogman.
There is also strand Mad About Melikyan which will celebrate the work of the Armenian-Russian director, Anna Melikyan. The filmmaker will be in Kilkenny to present three of her films: Mermaid, Star and About Love.
