Festival of Light to Make Listowel Bright
This weekend marks the inaugural year of Feile an tSolais/Festival of Light, taking place in Listowel, Co Kerry.
A family orientated arts festival, organisers say the event will transform the heritage town into a spectacular lightscape. It will take place Friday to Saturday, November 2-3.
Many exhibitions and events are free to attend, requiring no booking. For others, tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.
Highlights include Forest of Light, an immersive lightscape installation made from sustainable and recycled materials that takes you through the Garden of Europe in Listowel Town Park; Poetica Illumina, an audio-visual poetry installation that pushes the boundaries between art and technology; and the Lantern Parade.
