Fame comes to Liberty Hall in December

A talented Irish cast of 13 to 22 year-olds will bring the classic musical Fame to Dublin’s Liberty Hall this December.

This new stage version of the film and television series follows the students of the New York School of the Performing Arts through their four years course. We see them coming to terms with life and relationships. Some of the students persevere but some do not but above all we see them striving for excellence.

In the heart of Dublin city, this classic story will be brought to life by an extremely talented cast and band for two days on 2 and 3 December. The three performances will take place at 7.30pm on 2 December and 2pm and 7.30pm on 3 December.

Fame is musically directed by Lauryn Gaffney, who previously created the successful musical Big Shot. The story of an American defence lawyer who falls for an Irish woman was a huge success, playing in London and the US and was awarded the ‘Spirit of the Fringe’ award at the San Diego International Fringe Festival last year.

Gaffney is joined by choreographer Mark Kennedy for Fame and with such a talented team in place, this is sure to be an unmissable show.

Tickets are priced at €18 for the evening shows and €15 for the matinee and can be purchased online.
