Celtic Gold: An Irish Song & Dance Journey at St. Patrick’s Cathedral
This Saturday 20th January, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin will play host to Celtic Gold: An Irish Song and Dance Journey, the stage show being hailed as ‘the next Riverdance’.
Celtic Gold: An Irish Song and Dance Journey stars James Greenan, one of the male leads with Riverdance; Rob Vickers, West End star of Les Miserables; and rising star Lisa Canny, named the UK’s Future Music Songwriting Champion.
The spectacular show has been commissioned by American network PBS for broadcast across the United States this summer. The cast will embark upon a promotional tour of the US this March in advance of the broadcasts and further tour dates.
This is the first time St. Patrick’s Cathedral will open its 800-year-old doors to an event of this scale.
Show producer, and the man behind Celtic Gold, Bart Daly, says of Celtic Gold: An Irish Song and Dance Journey: “We are blessed with an incredible cast of top performers combined with a production team of ‘who’s who’ from the industry, including show director Alan Byrne, executive producer Cilian Fennell, and our creative director Joey Comerford. We are looking forward to bringing a new Irish act out to the international tour market.”
