Brothers of the Brush Comes to dlr Mill Theatre
Irish playwright Jimmy Murphy’s classic work Brothers of the Brush will be performed at Dundrum’s dlr Mill Theatre on June 26 and 27.
25 years after its premiere, this new production of the play tells the story of three house painters. Making a meagre living, they are overseen by an arrogant and shifty boss who is running a small business.
First produced by the Abbey Theatre, Brothers of the Brush premiered at the 1993 Dublin Theatre Festival. There it went on to win Best New Play, earning raves for being both entertaining and thought provoking.
Produced by Verdant Productions, Tracy Ryan’s directs this new take on the play. Stephen Jones, Luke Griffin, Stephen Cromwell and Gerard Byrne star.
Tickets cost from €16. To purchase them or for more information, see here.
Meanwhile, dlr Mill Theatre will also be hosting performances of The Twits, a play based upon Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book. For more details about that show, follow this link.
