Banter Announce Stacked Live Show Guestlist for Dublin Podcast Festival
Former Ireland football manager and current RTE commentator Brian Kerr has been announced as one of the many guests to appear at Banter 200, a special event to mark the 200th event from the live interview series and podcast Banter.
Taking place in the Workman’s Club as part of the upcoming Dublin Podcast festival, other guests to appear include authors Caoilinn Hughes (Orchid and the Wasp), Eithne Shortall (Love in Row 27), Sinéad Gleeson (The Long Gaze Back) and Una Mullally (Repeal the 8th), as well as news editors Christine Bohan (The Journal), Lois Kapila (Dublin Inquirer) and Richie Oakley (The Times Ireland edition).
Meanwhile, there will be music from Dublin band Slow Moving Clouds whose new album Starfall will be released on September 21.
Banter is hosted by Jim Carroll. Since starting out in July 2009, the platform has covered topics including business, culture, food, social issues, politics – with shows taking place in Ireland, as well as abroad at festivals including SXSW. Previous podcasts can be listened to here.
Banter 200 takes place on Wednesday October 17. Doors open at 6pm and the evening begins at 6.30pm. Tickets are now on sale from this link costing €8. All proceeds go to Women’s Aid.
Meanwhile, Dublin Podcast Festival is taking place across the capital from September 26 to October 17. Other acclaimed shows hosting live events include The Adam Buxton Podcast, The Blindboy Podcast, The Guilty Feminist and Juvenalia.
